We’ve all been in situations where a different perspective provided a better view of how to navigate them. Where to turn for healthy perspectives is often the biggest question. Bowen Health and your school know the importance of offering quality options to help your child successfully navigate life. That’s why we are happy to introduce a new online video therapy choice for students.

Better View offers online video therapy for students during the school day with parental permission. Being able to talk to a local therapist privately online at school is a game-changer. This easy access to a Better View provides students with real solutions in real time to gain a new perspective and help them navigate their best lives.

Covering your child’s therapy needs with a Better View

  • Why provide virtual therapy services in schools?

    • Research shows that virtual therapy is as effective as traditional in-person therapy. Additionally, 80% of patients actually prefer a virtual or telehealth option to communicate with healthcare providers. By providing virtual therapy in schools, we meet students where they're comfortable, ensuring accessible and convenient mental health support.

  • How does Better View video therapy work in a school setting?

    • Students can access virtual therapy sessions with a Bowen Health therapist in a private room located in their school equipped with a videoconferencing device.

  • How are therapy sessions scheduled during the school day?

    • Therapy sessions are scheduled during designated times during the school day that limit disruptions to their academic coursework. Most sessions average 20 minutes. Schools collaborate with Bowen Health to establish schedules that accommodate both student needs and educational priorities.

  • Do students need parental consent to use Better View video therapy?

    • Yes. Any child under the age of 18 needs parental consent.

  • What kind of services are available at Bowen Health?

    • We provide physical and mental healthcare. Services include in-person individual and family therapy, group therapy, video therapy, wellness exams, sports and school physicals, vaccinations, allergy treatment, lab tests, medication management, treatment for depression, anxiety, ADHD, addiction recovery, and more. For more information, click here.

  • Is my child’s therapy information kept confidential? Will it be shared with my school?

    • All services provided by Bowen Health are kept entirely confidential. You may share the information with anyone you choose. If you wish Bowen Health to release information to anyone, you will be required to approve it formally.

  • What kind of payment is accepted at Bowen Health?

    • Bowen Health accepts Medicaid and other health insurance plans, and no one is turned away for an inability to pay or insurance status. If you need assistance, one of our healthcare navigators can help.

  • Is therapy at Bowen Health just for school-age children?

    • No. Bowen Health serves all ages: infants to adults.
