Bowen Health Expands Primary Care Access in Fort Wayne with New Family Nurse Practitioner

Bowen Health is expanding access to primary care in Fort Wayne with the addition of Kierra Handlon, Family Nurse Practitioner, who has joined the organization and will soon see patients at Bowen Health’s Rudisill Blvd. location.
Handlon provides comprehensive primary care services for patients of all ages, including annual physicals, wellness visits, well-child visits, treatment for minor injuries and acute illnesses, immunizations, chronic disease management, women's health exams, mental health screenings, substance use screenings, early detection screenings, and specialty care referrals.
Her journey into healthcare began with a lifelong interest in science and the human body. Over time, that curiosity evolved into a passion for nursing, where she discovered the unique opportunity to blend clinical expertise with meaningful patient relationships and advocacy. “My biggest accomplishment in life is being a mother,” said Handlon. “Having my son has reinforced just how important it is for people to take care of themselves, not only for their own well-being, but for the people who depend on them. Healthy individuals help create healthy families and stronger communities.”
The addition of Handlon supports Bowen Health’s commitment to caring for the whole person. Through primary care, mental health services, patient education, and ongoing support, Bowen Health partners with the community to manage their health, prevent future problems, and live healthier lives.

Handlon is passionate about helping patients navigate both immediate and long-term health needs.
